Municipality Closes Its Doors After An Employee Tested Positive For Covid-19

As the global pandemic continues to soar through the country, NDZ Local Municipality has registered its first infection.
The municipal employee that tested positive has been isolated and is receiving treatment in the respective quarantine site.
In light of the above mentioned, municipal offices will be closed with effect from the 11th July 2020 & services will resume on Wednesday 15th of July 2020. The municipality will use this period to disinfect and to ensure that the municipal offices are ready to resume public operations.
“We value the lives of our employees and the public. The closing of municipal offices is a temporal arrangement that seeks to protect the lives of all local residents. With that said, our employees will work from home until further notice” said Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipal Manager, Mr Nkosiyezwe Vezi.
The municipality wishes the infected employee a speedy recovery and pleads with all local residents to remain safe and adhere to lockdown regulations.
Your health is in your hands.
