Mission Tourism Restored At Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-zuma Municipality
Tourism is a major contributor to employment creation particularly for women, youth and local people and has numerous linkages with other sectors. As a consequence, tourism can lead to the reduction of poverty and to the promotion of socio-economic development and decent work.
Yesterday 22 October 2022, Reichenau Mill opened its doors after months of undergoing renovations. A huge congratulations to the the Underberg/Himeville historical society, community members came in their numbers to witness this historic moment in our municipality. So much work on a voluntary basis has gone into restoring and preserving the Mill to develop it as a sustainable operating concept. Hence it will be an asset to the entire district as a historical landmark and tourist attraction.
Local produced maize meal, sustainable electricity power and job opportunities are some of the benefits that this Mill will bring to our municipality, it is encouraged that people who are interested to find out more about the opportunities that the Mill brings to our society can visit Reichenau Mission at eNhlanhleni Community under ward 2.
Working together to build better communities.
