Municipal Idp Roadshows Continues
Today Hon Mayor Cllr Sindisiwe Msomi, together with Deputy Mayor Cllr Kholeka Hadebe, Speaker Cllr Sifiso Phoswa, Exco Member Cllr Sikhumbuzo Mlibeni, Municipal Councillors, Harry Gwala District Councillors led by Cllr Bekwa and employees from both municipalities were part of the IDP roadshow to determine the developmental needs and priorities of residents in a gathering that was held at Mpumlwana Community Hall under ward 5.
The IDP feedback sought to outline the municipality’s development strategies and priorities, and give feedback on issues raised during consultative meetings held earlier this year.
Community members made inputs and recommendations into the revision of the 2022/23 IDP and Budget, and also had an opportunity to express service delivery challenges in their respective wards.
In her address, the Mayor encouraged communities to work closely with their ward councillors and ward committees. She also inspired communities to become actively involved in all municipal programmes and projects that the municipality seeks to undertake.
Mayor Msomi thanked all residents and stakeholders from ward 15,14,8,6 and 5 who continue to play a pivotal role during these public participation meetings.
