President Cyril Ramaphosa addressing the nation on measures to combat COVID-19 epidemic.

15 MARCH 2020

Fellow South Africans,

I am addressing you this evening on a matter of great national importance.

The world is facing a medical emergency far graver than what we have

experi-enced in over a century.

The World Health Organisation has declared the coronavirus outbreak as a

global pandemic.

There are now more than 162 000 people who have tested positive for the

coronavirus across the globe.

Given the scale and the speed at which the virus is spreading, it is now

clear that no country is immune from the disease or will be spared its

severe impact.

7 Employees And One Councilor Test Positive For Covid-19. Municipality Closed.

02 August 2020 – SUNDAY

The coronavirus is wreaking havoc across the world and Dr Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma Municipality is no exception.

In light of the above mentioned, municipal offices will be closed with effect from the 03rd August 2020 (Monday) & services will resume on Wednesday 5th of August 2020. The municipality will use this period to disinfect and to ensure that the municipal offices are ready to resume public operations.

During the disinfection and deep cleaning of the buildings, all employees working at the two affected buildings are encouraged to work from home during the temporary closure period and take the necessary precautionary measures where necessary to observe occupational health and safety directives and protocols related to the Covid-19 pandemic.
